In a previous question. I have found out why some cheerleading girls take their shirt off and practice in sports bras when they are at practice. And, I guess it's because they have more room to work with and their sleeves don't get in the way, because sports bras are sleeveless. So, can you explain this girl (the one that is showing her bellybutton).

1 - By this, her sleeves still look like they wouldn't be giving her any more room than if her shirt was down all the way.
2 - By doing whatever she did, it looks like the shirt is tighter, which would make it harder to move around AND I would think that if something was tight, you would get hot after a while
Am I right in those two points?
The real question is, what benefit is she getting out of this and/or why would she have her shirt this way?

Little girls are easily influenced. They see beautiful models with croptops, running around in bras, and see older cheerleaders (maybe their older sisters) do the same thing, so being children they do the same thing.
I don't think they really know what they're doing. They're just trying to be grown up not realizing they're looking a bit... ehem...

Unfortunately, I believe this is a young lady mimicking what she has seen older girls/ladies do. Our society sadly sexualizes young ladies and encourages them to show much more skin that what is necessary for any reason at all.
That being said, as a dancer I did find it more comfortable to have greater range of motion and it was sometimes very warm with a full shirt. I cannot fathom, though, why this child is wearing her shirt this way and further I don't really understand why you've posted it for the world of Yahoo to see.
I only hope she has some good examples in her life so she, unlike many less fortunate girls, grows up with self-respect and dignity and knows she need not expose her body to gain attention and popularity.

She clearly is looking for attention (boys?) and she probably is a tween. She wants to be a grown up and I bet she doesnt wear that shirt in front of her mom.

it may cool her faster becasue her stomach a large are is being shown i no alot of girls do htis so that there shirts wont fly up becasu they tighten them so that wen they do a flip it wont but to be honest she wants to show her belly button she htinks its cute an fashionable aot of girls do this it has no purpose really at all

well...i am a gymnast and sometimes we tie up our shirts like that so that when we flip they don't fly up...but to tell you the truth i think that she is just doing that to look cool, or because someone else is doing it!!

the girl doesn't care whether she's comfortable or anything. she wants to look sexy. that's basically the whole point of cheerleading.
