In a previous question. I have found out why some cheerleading girls take their shirt off and practice in sports bras when they are at practice. And, I guess it's because they have more room to work with and their sleeves don't get in the way, because sports bras are sleeveless. So, can you explain this girl (the one that is showing her bellybutton).

1 - By this, her sleeves still look like they wouldn't be giving her any more room than if her shirt was down all the way.
2 - By doing whatever she did, it looks like the shirt is tighter, which would make it harder to move around AND I would think that if something was tight, you would get hot after a while
Am I right in those two points?
The real question is, what benefit is she getting out of this and/or why would she have her shirt this way?

Little girls see women on tv in bathing suits and slutty outfits and think that is what they are supposed to look like so that's what they try to be, cuz they want to grow up. They don't realize what they're doing is bad. They see older cheerleaders and maybe big sisters do it.
I agree that they do need to cover up.

I use to be a cheerleader when I was younger and It's hard to say. B/c being a cheerleader also means having respect for yourself. There was a lot of restrictions on what we could and could not wear durnig practice and so forth. These girls look young and I'm not sure what all is going on and who is around...but if there is any boys around... they might just want to show off their body. If it's just girls that's around, well, it's a little bit more complicated. It's kind of like...social compitition between friends. Who has the flatter stomach? Who has the best belly button ring? Who has the darkest tan? Whatever the reason may be.... it sure in't so they can keep cooler.
BTW, we use to wear our shirts like this back in the 80's. Just look at the positive side....it could be skimpy bathing suit tops. Stomachs, Not to worry about! If your a parent...It's the boobs that I would be more concerned about. Otherwise, girls will be Girls!

well, i use to be a cheerleader and i guess its just the style these days and i'm only 16... but things are getting a little to out of hand when 6 and 7 year olds start acting trashy when they think that they can get away with looking like that
I'm NOT saying that they all are like that its just most cheerleaders are always showing off their tummy for nothing

I blame it on the media and MTV and those stupid slutty BRATZ Dolls. 20 years ago, would you ever see a child do this? bet not. Maybe she saw her Daddy's Playboys or Maxium Mags.
HELL, maybe she just turned on the TV and saw it on a football game and thought hmmmm I want to look like a slut too! Shes too young to think of being sexy, but hell, that's America for ya. There is no innocence or PROTECTION of the innocence left.

These are LITTLE GIRLS! Where are their freaking daddies?! (Is that un-p.c.?) My dad would've kicked my butt before he let me go around like that. On the other hand, Daddy has to BE THERE to do that, huh? For Pete's sake, SOMEBODY needs to tell these kids to buy a freaking tank top that comes down to their pants if they don't like bulky tees. The point is: THEY NEED TO COVER UP. Why are we letting our little girls dress like street whores from the time they can walk? Does anyone (besides pageant moms & perverts) think this is a good idea?!?!?!?!!?

Your right it makes no sense. But these are teenage girls and the last they think of is practicality. Chances are she wants to impress someone you know how high school girls are.
