That is one of our best freedoms, to be unhappy with our elected leadership and to express it weather or not we understand why we are bringing that person down. Yes, we are allowed to be idiots here too.
I personally try to support our president. It takes way more than him to mess with the country. His first term was spend cleaning up after the previous guy ;0)
Too many people are too quick to bring down our leadership. I just thank God that Gore is not in office.

Well it's just like tabloids. The prez is considered a celeb and not everyone is going to like who is in office. Has there ever been one president who got 100% of the votes?
I think more ppl hate our prez right now just cuz he is like the worst president we've had. He makes it seem easy to get into office =p

Let us ask whether this country loves to "hate our own president." There are large numbers of the citizenry that find our own president an inept, manipulated, power-hungry, short-sighted booby, of course, but that doesn't mean that this country hates him. One can love such a person and find his performance unacceptable. I believe, however, that what most people feel is indifference, which might be worse than hate.

The people who hate the President most likely have failed in life and it is always easier to blame some one else

-----I did not know that we do "love to hate our own President". In fact, some people have the attitude, "Our President, right or wrong." In a democracy, we must constantly observe and monitor our elected officials, from President to Dog Catcher. Democracy requires constant work on our part to make it work; we must keep constantly informed on the issues, and decide how each of us wants to vote on them. ---Jim

It's not that people need someone to hate, it's just that there are people who like him and people who don't. That's what political parties are. People are too different to unite and "love" the president.

one man steers the country with his stupid ideas though. And it's patriotic to keep checks and balances so those jerks stay in line. Otherwise we'd have another Hitler on our hands. Dang---you must be a republican because you're clueless about life and the way this country works.
