why is it that every time iwash my socks, i find on of them missing. what do you think happens to them?

I used to blame my roommates for all of my missing socks.I really thought it was them taking my socks because so many of them came up missing.Until I moved out and got a place of my own and the same thing kept happening even though I lived by myself.So I think they go to another dimension where lost things go to.Maybe little thieves from that dimension come into this one and say hee hee hee as they take our socks and place them with all the other socks that are still there lost forever.I think that's what happens to our keys,our pens and our glasses along with the cordless phone which is always missing.Sometimes they give those things back but the socks they never give back.Socks are probably used for something very important in the lost dimension.I just can't imagine what it could be.If we were to ever go there ourselves we'd most likely see zillions of socks everywhere in all different shapes and colors with little critters runing around giggling because of all the people that are still looking for their lost socks.

It use to happen to me a lot. I found out that the dryer was loose. So, when my uncle took the back of the dryer off and pulled the tub out, we saw every sock that had been missing including a few bras.

I know what you mean, sometime's our socks get caught in the other clothe's, that's drying with them and sometime's I have to look far into the dryer, to make sure they're not at the top or stuck back in the dryer somewhere.

I don't always but some how when I put them in the laundry basket I can't seem to find the other sock of the pair...

It is a conspiracy for all dryers to eat one sock only. And when you throw the one you have away the dryer spits its mate out again. Genious Really ;o)

I loose them between the washer and drier. When I see something go between them, I get something to get in there. I usually also get a half dozen or so odd socks.

I have a laundry room in my house...and I still lose socks...I think there is a dryer monster what there....

I think i forget mjne inthe washer. either that or they just get eaten up. Or maybe someone takes them. I really dontn know waht really happens to them, but in the end i ususally find the other part of the pair ender my bed. :)

They spontaneously explode. Where to think that gunk in the lint trap comes from? Exploded sock corpses, that's where.
