How do you make custom objects or recolors for the sims 2?

OBJECTS not hair or clothes i need to know about objects what do i hav 2 do 2 make recolors and objects. what programs etc.

I recolour objects using SimPE and Paintshop Pro. You can use any other art program instead of Paintshop Pro, just go for the one you know best.

It is rather tricky to recolour and it can take quite a while to get good at it. There is a lot of importing, exporting and resizing of various pictures.

Once you've mastered recolouring you will find creating your own objects easier. There is also a creating basic meshes tutorial at The Sims Resource.

SimPE they say is quite good.
I never tried, though.
My advice is just try making a few custom clothes, objects, etc using Sims BodyShop when you feel you're doing good on it then try making objects.
Oh you'll need some kind of image editor as well, as well as a 3d program, I think one of them is called milkshape. Sorry if its not much help, but like I said, its easier to start off with just modifying clothes and hair and that. Good Luck!
