my fish have ich, ive been treating them since monday and have yet to see any kind of change. infact i fell that some have got worst! my loaches are covered in the stuff and acting abit wierd! and my mollie has the white spots but shes been acting kinda wierd, (like sitting on the gravel inbetween my rocks) which she doesnt usally do. but there all still eating and swiming around! i was just wondering if it would be ok to change there treatment? as i dont feel the one im useing is working at all.

First and foremost, turn off any and all filters you have. If your filters are still running, then you're basically not getting the meds to the fish - the filters are filtering it out.

Once your filters are off, I would change about 30% of the water and then re-treat with your ick treatment.

Your fish may also have fungus or parasites - alot of these look like ick. If you're unsure, head out to your local pet shop and speak the fish dept people. The better pet stores out there will have qualified fish experts who will be able to help you and hopefully resolve your tank problems by recommending the best treatment.

Many of my Betta fish have died from ich. I too treated them for weeks with that special ich stuff you put in the water but they still kicked the bucket. I'm sorry, I have no more advice to say but keep using the ich stuff and then wait and see if they get better. Next time you have fish use the ich stuff even before they show signs of the disease. Remember: The earlier the treatment, the better:).
