Hello everybody! :)
I'm currently studying in England and a friend of mine will come to visit me soon.
I would like to bring her to see the musical "Mamma mia!" in Prince of Wales Theatre, in London, cos the performance must be awesome: songs and dances; but she cannot really understand spoken English.
What I would like to know is whether the dialogues are so few that it is not really necessary to understand spoken English in order to enjoy the musical. Are there only songs? (I have never attended a musical before...)
Or do you think she will be bored?

With many thanks

Regards.

Benoît.

Even if your friend doesn't understand English she will like the songs and both of you will have a good time. She certainly won't be bored.

One of the best ways to learn a language is through music and the songs of Abba that you hear in Mamma Mia are very clear and easy to sing along to .... you'll have a great time!!

The show in question is essentially a Love story, your friend will love it, I seen it last year and we had a fantastic time, if you love the music of ABBA, you will love this Love story.
I hope you both enjoy the show as much as we did.
