are your windows up or down? with the windows down you use about the same amount of gas because of the drag. in a truck you use more gas with the tailgate down because with it up you create an air bouble which the air flows over the entire truck.

Yes it does it makes your engine work harder like everybody else said but if you turn you A/C on max A/C which in most cars is the recirculate button it will give you slightly better performance and better gas milage while it is running because it recirculates the air that is inside your car and it's easier to cool air that is already slightly cooled therefore putting less stress on the engine because the A/C won't have to keep running to cool the air down

Yes, the air conditioner is powered by a belt that activates then you turn on your a/c. The belt is pulled by your engine and makes the engine work a bit harder. So yes it does use more gas when you run the a/c.

Yes, using A/C does consume more gas. Not only does it consume more gas, but it affects horsepower dramatically. Try not to have the A/C on if you are starting from a stand still point.

Yes. All significant use of power in an automobile or truck adds to the load on the engine, therefore consumes more gasoline.

Turning on the A/C will put a load on the engine, and burn a minimal amount of fuel more than having it off. Rolling down the windows will put a drag on the vehicle and burn about the same. Use it when you need it and don't worry about it.

You bet! Anything you add on the motor in form of load will tell on your gas mileage. The difference is less in highway non-stop driving.
