Mobile phone, Samsung D900 slide phone. Bought from eBay. I don't know whether the password is from the phone itself or from my SIM card. Either way, I don't know it. Is there any way I can reset all the passwords and PINs without knowing them?

I've just bought the above phone off eBay - works brilliant, but won't let me access my videos. Says I need to enter my password. I DON'T know it, and o2 customer services have told me to phone Samsung themselves! Anyway of resetting the password without me knowing it in the first place, AND, how many attempts at guessing do I get before I block the thing?

why not contact the person from e-bay and ask them for the password they should know it and phone is not barred otherwise you would not be able to access any menus, i know that sometimes if the wrong code is repeatedly asked for it will ask you for a puk code which you obtain from o2 and that will then unlock it and you choose your own, the default code for samsung is usually 12345 i believe otherwise 00000000 but i would personally contact the seller

The password is generally the last four digits of your phone number.
