Yes.. Oklahoma passed a state law requiring all yard sales to have a permit.. you can get fine without one,, however i used to live in oklahoma and i know that yard sales are everywhere in OK and also i think it is very rare that the cops would show up to give you a ticket for your yard sale, the purpose of the permit is for sales tax purposes. I never knew anyone to get a ticket because of a yard sale. I think you would be fine without one. The cost of the permit is about $25.00 and will last for about three months. yes, do have have to have a permit, it is 10.00 and good for up to 2 weeks, i found out the hard way because my neighbor is a major b.... and claimed i was on her property ( which i was no where her fence line and cops not only shut me down, but fined me 300.00 for illegal sales, and sales tax/ tax evasion they must be 45 days apart and only allowed 3 in a calendar year. i have one every 90 days for a whole 2weeks from 6a-7p since there is no time frame just to make her mad and she still calls the cops on me each time and they tell her to leave me alone i am legal and if she continues to call she will be arrested for harassment

Call your city or town hall and ask! That's the simplest and safest way to proceed.
