Sounds like you procrastinate a lot...will I won't I syndrome. Set yourself a task and then make sure you complete it without asking any questions. Make a time and say I will complete this on time and in the time allotted, start with small things first then gradually build it up. Bad habits are broken by replacing them with good ones.

Hi Pinka! I hope you are well. I was a "last minute gal"most of my life too. I finally figured out that I work very well under a certain kind of pressure and it was a way to challenge myself. Then I found as an adult i.e. deadlines at work, bills to pay (ON TIME) and commitments to my friends( showing up when I said that I would..).
That became enough external pressure in my life and suddenly I had to find a new way to operate in my life. Now I take my time and have found that I can enjoy not only the end result of what ever I'm working on but the entire process too. But it did take practice, In fact I still practice it keeps you young!

Hi Pinka

I'm guessing you mean you leave things till the last miniute and then have to do them in a rush.

Here's a little experiment for tou to try which will give you a better understanding of your situation. You can do this by yourself, or get a friend to read out the instructions one at a time.

1. Find somewhere where you can be in front of something fairly neutral such as a bare wall with few if any pictures, windows, etc.

2. With youe eyes open or closed, whichever works best for you, think of a time that was fairly memorable for you: changing schools or jobs, a birthday (yours or someone else's), or whatever.
Take notice of where that memory seems to come from. Is it above or below the level of your eyes? Is it behind you, in front of you or to one side?

3. Take a step or two forwards and then back again and shake your arms as though you were shaking water off your body.

4. Now think of something fairly important to you which you expect will be happening in the next year or two (and preferably more than 6 months in the future).
Again take notice of where that thought seems to come from. Is it above or below the level of your eyes? Is it behind you, in front of you, or to one side?

5. Take a step or two forwards and then back again and shake your arms as though you were shaking water off your body.

6. Final step - think of something which has happened very recently or which you expect will happen very soon.
Notice where that memory seems to come from.

7. Now imagine a line running from the place where the past memory came from, to the place where the future event came from, through the place where the present memory or near future event came from.

If it were a real line, would it pass in front of you in some direction, or would it run through your body in some direction?

If you want to answer - all I need to know is "in front" or "through" - please add it to your question.

Yes, lead a disciplined life, it's natural with some people at this age, but you will have to pull up the reigns for further life.

OLD HABITS DIE HARD.

As long as it gets done should be your Motto, some people just work best when things are at the last minute status.I would worry when it is the last minute and it does'nt get done .

u cannot; unless you see strong benifits of doing it on time...so with your heart and mind divide any new task into "dont-care" and "does-matter" tasks. With "dont-care" tasks enjoy doing them only last minute..... n pamper urself. But do respect those few "does-matter" tasks.
U can decide this based on what you get and what u loose .. money? person? someone's smile? or someone's respect? if u care mark that as "does-matter" task in calendar.
