My first choice would be Parrot Jungle. My kids loved it. The Metro Zoo is also a great way to spend the day...it's huge and very inexpensive. There is also a nice Childrens Museum right across the way from Parrot Jungle.

The 6 yr old will be happy with Parrot Jungle & Seaquarium, both in Miami & The Metro-Zoo, way South of Miami. In my experience a 2 yr. old. will be happiest playing on the beach. Hollywood Beach has a "broadwalk" along the beach which is great for kids because you can always find shade, soft drinks & entertainment just a few yards away. Always remember sunscreen & shade for babes on the beach (or anywhere else outdoors); carry extra water. So Fla. sun is brutal & you don't know you're burnt until it's too late.

Do they still have the Flea Market with the Circus in Lauderdale area? My son like that & I got to do some shopping.
