There was a film made years ago, they got a young up-and-coming actor to play him. It was a good choice in the sense that the actor wasn't yet established therefore the viewers will have no preconceptions of him. Johnny Depp wouldn't work in this sense. He was also a dead-ringer for Kurt with very little effort, I'm imagining Depp would need a lot of makeup.
So if they are in fact making another film, they should take the same path, not get an A-list heart-throb.

johnny depp is amost 47. kurt was like 27 when he died...........do the math
cameron crowe i think made a movie a few years back about a kurt cobain type musician. pretty good film. but that actor could play kurt.
he was in the movie the dreamers. can't think of his name.

Well, if he was still alive, the answer would be River Phoenix, but I think to play Kurt Cobain, I may have to go with Johnny Depp also.

no kidding hes a good actor look at other movies besides potc like edward scissorhands
is there going to be a movie about him? that would be awesome
also johnny depp likes classic rock so he might actually want to do it (but we could always force him to...hahah)
depp has done a lot of biography movies (for lack of better word) like fear and loathing in las vegas, finding neverland, and more
edit: how could someone NOT know who kurt cobain is???????????????????????????
interesting how river pheonix died outside johnny depps (he formely owned it) club....
johnny depp also gives the look that kurt cobain has in a lot of his pictures

Adam Sandler, because it takes an idiot to play one. The only problem is that Sandler is a better musician than Cobain was.
