Final Fantasy 12, I got the barheim key, but where do I use it, how do I get back into the barheim passage?

I tried at the estersand passge, but now nobody is there and the opening is still blocked and I can't remember where to go. I know the garamsythe waterway is how I got into it first. But I still am looking for how to get that key as well.

In the Estersand, the part just before the village in the South East, there is another way into the Passage where you have to use the key.
