You had the Beatles, The Doors, Stevie Wonder, and the Stones. The was when rock and roll ruled.

I was around in 1967 and 1987. The top 40 music of today is probably the dullest, most cretinous junk ever put out by record companies, ever. There was bad music in the 60s, 70s, 80's, and 90s, but the wretchedness of the top 40 now is really beyond belief.

I was born in '84 so I'm not too knowledgeable on the music from the 80's and 60's. I'm not to fond of today's music(only Rap artist I listen to is Eminem and the only two American bands/musicians I listen to are Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails). So I'm going to have to say worse.

well music has evolved a lot since the 80's and even more from the 60's. there is more variety in music than how it was in 67 so in that aspect its better. the rock music was better in 87 than now but in the genre of rap i would have to say its a lot better now.

i think of the music 2 many years in the past replaced right into a lot greater effectual. drugs, intercourse and partying weren't sung approximately as frequently. The music 2 many years in the past...or perhaps longer than that frequently had greater which potential to them than the songs sung immediately. it rather is in basic terms my opinion nevertheless. Songs sung back then weren't constantly so friendly yet ya know.

worse- these days all record companies care about is money. quantity as opposed to quality is all the range these days, unfortunately. almost all the retro songs have a timeless feel to them, shame the same cannot be said about the decade of the 00s. as pop has definitely gone downhill
