Certainly not. Whoever Rico is, if he is a living creature and you believe in some higher power, it is only good and kind and loving to ask your deity to give assistance to him or any other being in need. Confucius told us to treat people the way we would wish to be treated. Jesus commanded his followers to love our neighbors as ourselves. It would appear that both mandates apply here. Interestingly enough, the idea of kindness based on reciprocity appears in most established religions. In no religion does the notion of helping another person or asking God to help another person rely on the other person's belief in the same or in any other deity.
