i need detailed information on inserting a bigger harddrivre into the playstation3?

We just used a 160gig external harddrive hook it up via the usb. Works great.

When you buy the ps3 it comes with a small manual and abig one. In the small one it tells you that you can put a standard laptop hard drive in it . It goes in the side .You have to take the black door off and take out the blue screw and theres a clip that will relesa it. It has to be an sata not an ide drive.
