I answered this in the other place you posted it.

However, just FYI- most of the turtles mentioned here do not stay small. Red-ear sliders run 10-12" for example.

Also, there is no such turtle as a 'yellow-belly snapper'. There are Common Snappers that get over 20", and Yellow-Belly Sliders that get about 10-12" as well.

If you want turtle that will stay small, you should get a yellow belly snapping turtle. I found one in my pool when i was younger and i kept him. His name is tony and he is like the nicest turtle in the world. He is also small but you have to kow that every living thing does grow. So their going to get bigger no matter what but not that big.
