I don't really care about races and I was really surprised of how important races are in USA.
I'm from Spain and I've been "white" my whole life in Europe but I came to The States and here now I'm Hispanic (I didn't know that Hispanic is a race till I came here).
I didn't know that speaking a language can make a difference between races in this country.
What about my nephew? He's from Spain (he only can speak Spanish) and he's black. Is he Hispanic too?
And what abou my sister? She can only speak Spanish and she's blonde with blue eyes...
Crazy world!

As any person who's Mexican and Italian- Italian is normally regarded white. Trust me, I seem approximately 50/50 and due to the fact that I have surely no accessory, so much individuals, at any time when point out of my Mexican part comes up, say "Oh, I inspiration you have been White." "..I have gentle olive dermis, black hair and brown eyes" "I inspiration you have been Italian or Greek or anything." I discover it humorous, regardless that I'm 50% Italian/German/Irish, due to the fact that I'm 50% Mexican I'm regarded zero% White. Hilarious. Race is a made-up factor. Like breeds of puppies, we are simply special breeds of human.

OMG.......
Hispanic just means people who speak Spanish meaning Spain, Latin America and part of the philipines.
Latin American means Latins from America and Latin European means Latins from Europe. Latin means people who are descendants of the latin people (Roman Empire) or who speak a romance language, meaning a language that descent from the LATIN language, the language spoken in the Roman Empire (ie:Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, etc)
Many of the latin people are diverse because of their History. Spain was conquered 7 centuries by the moros (arabs) and therefore, their culture is so rich now and diverese. Italians by the Greek, etc. Culture and race mix.
for someone to say Spanish are black, white, brown or purple is just ignorant and people get mad. Race is irrelevant to our culture as we are a diverse population.
We don't like to be called white nor brown. Latin is acceptable. To be called White is stupid and to be called Brown is stupid too. Don't do it. In general, we don't like people who categorize us because of our skin color, we like people who can see beyond color. We are just not use to call people by the color of their skin, we could care less.

I am of Puerto Rican descendant (both parents from the island, yet I was born here in the states), yet I look like your typical white guy.....brown hair, blue eyes, light skin. I get the most comments and criticisms from other "hispanics." It used to bother me, but now I don't give a damn how they think of me. I know who I am, if they can't accept it, they can kiss my backside.
Hispanics typically like to stereotype. Most have the idea that a "hispanic" should have at least some brown coloring on their skin and have black hair and dark eyes. Yet, they don't see how their beloved Spanish soap operas show the actors to be of European looks....and these viewer just love this.
To those Hispanics out there....you know who you are, you bunch of hypocrites!!
Among other things, looking white makes me an excellent spy. I can go into a group of "latinos" and listen in on their conversations in Spanish, while they assume I don't know what they're saying. I get the last laugh.....har,har,har!!!!
So what do you think of that? Nyah, nyah, nyah!!!!!!!!
