Lindy Ruff(coach of the sabres) said that when Kotalik, Afinogenov, and Connolly come back(all are expected to be back by the end of the regular season), he was going to make them the fourth line to get them back into the flow of things. That is just crazy, and scary for opposing teams. Here are the four lines for the Sabres:
Hecht, Briere, Pominville
Vanek, Roy, Stafford
Zubrus, Drury, Paille
Afinogenov, Connolly, Kotalik

WOW...I can't wait for playoffs, what do you guys think about this?

Yeah they're dressing Connolly, he said himself that he expects to be in uniform for the last couple games of the season...

Actually Bob, I am not a bandwagoner...and the fact is all of the Sabres injuries last year during the playoffs was not because they were "weak". They were freak injuries. Come on, one guy had something wrong with his heart, another got an infection from a cut on his leg, and all the other ones were from blocking shots. Now I don't know about you, but blocking shots is not something a "weak" player does...

Nice setup. Not bad baring the injury to Max, Buffalo would have had 5 30 goal scorers. I mean seriously if you would have taken the top 4 defensemen from any team in the playoffs how many would survive.

Just look at their season this year, they have the kids coming up from Rochester making a name for themselves and working towards earning a spot on the team next year, the chemistry is very good with this team.

I knew this was another Sabre bandwagoner before I even read the insert.
OK-let's see: WHy do you think that so many of their players spend time on the IR in the first place?? What makes you think that it will change in the play-offs in a 7 game series where things GET MORE PHYSICAL? Their key players are undersized and thus will be prone to even more injuries come play-off time- Briere-Campbell-Afinogenov----Drury-Roy---they are all midgets and cannot handle the grind of the post season. I am not saying this to be mean-it is a fact. Just look at last year's play-offs-WHAT WAS THEIR UNDOING? INJURIES so enough talk of oh, we are getting this guy and that guy back, we are going to be so good. They should have obtained some size at the deadline- Tkchuck-Geurin or even public enemy #1 Bertuzzi.
Also, they are a team now without a 2nd goaltending option if Miller were to go down. Unlike many teams that have 2 solid goaltenders.
Get over it because once the play-offs are over it is my guess you will be very, very disappointed but atleast you can try to blame the injuries again.

are you serious afinogenov and connolly on the fourth line? I think those 2 will move up. Paille and stafford might drop to the fourth line. But if they don't it is 4 dangerous lines. Kotalik is also a suprise as a 4th liner, because he is usally with vanek and connolly.

If I was playing against a team that had that as their 4th line, I would be in big touble.

The Sabres have scorers on every single line and will be very dangerous come playoffs. I just wish they had some good looking jerseys.
