the drinking age is 21,i think because whenever i go to the cashier, there's a sign that says it you buy achohol you have to be 21 or older

it's 21 everywhere now. california, btw, never did lower thier drinking age from 21. the exception being that on military installation in the 70s, there was no drinking age. it was up to the descretion of the bartender whether or not to serve someone. I promise you, that some of those clubs were full of drunken 14 year old girls on a regular basis.

I live in California and the drinking age is 21, but no one really pays attention to that unless you try to buy alcohol underage.
