I just want to know your opinions on how and why does Macbeth transform from a noble warrior to a despised tyrant?

Well it's quite simple. Greed. Not the money greed but more of desire to gain power. Here are these 3 witches telling him he's destined to be king. Do you think Macbeth is going to turn this down. He even gets his wife invloved who (I think) believes in some sort of supernatural power telling him what to do. Then the control reverses when he becomes King. Macbeth thinks it's Manifest destiny but really it's just the want for power.

He tries to kill everyone that he sees as a threat to his kingship including his friend Banquo. This is because he is hungry for power. He wants to be honoured by all the country and this desire is fueled even more by his beloved wife who believes that he is not masculine enough to use any means necessary to get what he wants.

How? He murders his King...and a whole bunch of other people, too.

Why? Because the witches suggested to him that he'd be King someday, and his wife made sure he knew that the QUICKEST way to fulfill that prophecy was to murder Duncan.
