I got 4 stitches in my forehead this past Monday (3-19) and the nurse said they should come out in 5-7 days. Today is day 5 and the stitches are sore and feel like they're pulling. It's not infected or anything like that, so that's not it. Should they come out today or should I wait until 2morrow or Monday?

Does it look like the wound is completely healed? Are the edges smoothly together? Any drainage? Redness?
Are you in pretty good health? Have a good diet, as far as eating enough protein? All those things will affect healing. If it's bothering you, and you think it looks healed, take them out. If there's one that's particulary bothering you, take it out and see how the wound looks. Or take out 2 today and 2 tomorrow. ;) Be sure you use sterile scissors and tweezers, or at least instruments that have been wiped down with alcohol or a 1:10 bleach solution.

They could probably come out now. To be sure, call the doctor's office and ask the secretary (or nurse) to have the doctor call you at the end of his day (or during his break). Tell him what you're feeling & ask him what he advises.

Have them taken out now, if they are pulling. You could be a fast healer. Mine usually come out after 3 days. If they are in too long its harder to get them out as they will grow into your flesh.
