does anyone know of a good site or programme i can download to block my ip address?i have been told this is 1 way of getting rid of pop-ups on certain sites,if someone could give me this info i would be most grateful,thanks people.

get a router for your computer. it will hide your comps ip number with it's own ip number. these have builtin firewalls that will stop viruses, trogans, worms, spyware, adware from getting on your computer in the first place.
you should also use a two way software firewall like zonealarm. the great thing about these is if you download a program with spyware in it zonealarm will prevent the program from reporting back to it's owner. this is the next best thing to punching them in the nose. :)
