U ~ uxamu - - Zulu for iguana
M ~ Mountain Gorillas live in Africa
N ~ Naked Mole-Rat; Small, almost hairless rodents who live in underground colonies in Africa.
O ~ Okapi;The Okapi is a nocturnal, giraffe-like mammal from African rainforests.
O ~ Oryx; Oryx are long-horned antelopes from dry areas in Africa and Asia.

Here are a couple ideas. I have had to do an ABC book before but I wrote about different topics throughout my whole book. Anyways, M could be monkey, meerkat, or a mole. I could be Impala or Iguana but I'm don't think that Iguanas are African. O could be Orangutan. N could be Naked Mole Rat. I'm sorry but I looked on a few different sites and I'm totally stumped on X and U. Maybe your teacher will let you substitute for two on another later. Hope I was some help to you.
