how many times do tulips bloom?

my mom is wondering if they bloom once or more than once,

They are my fave but , they only bloom once a season.. if you leave the bulbs in the ground all year they may bloom after a winter in the ground, but i have found that some animals eat them squirrels rats skunks and other ground diggers

They only bloom once a yaer unfortunatly.
