I know this is vague, but I remember watching a cartoon where at the end the young hero (a hunter I think) returns to his brothers with a wagon full of captured game. Does anyone remember this or something very similar? This aired on TV during the 80's and it kind of stuck in my head, but I never knew what series or movie it belonged to. I kind of thought it was Rankin/Bass series or special, but I checked through what they made and nothing seems to match. Thanks.

It was a one-time special. This was right about the time that Dungeons & Dragons was becoming popular, and I think that this special was entitled "Dungeons & Dragons" or something similar. As I recall, it was pretty poorly written.
The plot revolved around a sorcerer-king accidentally bringing his shadow to life, and the shadow (being shadowy, of course) became evil. The hero, who was a young bumbling human prince, somehow saved the day and became a reasonably competent human prince. And the pretty girl gave him a kiss at the end, of course.
Don't worry if you've forgotten it; it was highly forgettable.
