Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

I want to believe that Santa Clause is going to come down my chimney on December 25th. It doesn't make it true.

I have a strong love for my family and friends as well, but I have to face the fact that when we die, we see no one and go nowhere. It will be just like it was before you were born. You can take solace in the fact that you won't miss them or have to be without them, because you even exist anymore.

Let's be honest. You don't know anything more about how the earth was formed or about death than anyone else. What is happening is that you are getting older, and you are starting to face your own mortality. You are afraid of dying, and want to believe in an afterlife to make yourself feel better.

It happens to a lot of people, but let's be honest about your motives for wanting to change your beliefs. I also believe that is't impossible to make yourself belive something that you truly don't believe, so either you always believed in god, and was in denial when you called yourself an atheist, or you really don't believe in god, and you're in denial now.

yes, we do.

I wasn't a believer either, and then i thought if there is a God, i'd see the proof. Survived two wars, a car bombing, an abusive relationship and i'm stronger than ever, and more optimistic. I believe in God simply for the reason that if i don't see something it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Example, Love: I feel it, but i don't see it. I can't see God but i belive in Him, wherever He is, and Whatever He looks like.

I believe in the afterlife. and i see this life as a trip in a cab, some ride a limosine, some ride a bicycle and some get there using their legs.

I see my grandma most of the time, and my mom who's alive says that if u see ur relatives (who r dead) in ur dream at night, whatever they tell u is true, because they're outside of this world, therefore they see the truth, the ultimate truth. As long as u see them the same way they were in here - in life. i can't expand my answer because that is all i know.

Yes there is actaully a thing that u can hear ur loved one who are dead from this world I don;t recommend u do that becuz it's VERY spritial and risky it was made by a woman named Debra she was on the muary show. her son died and she can hear from him from heaven and other ppl are doing it too. Try Christainity Try out a church. Christains belive that we will see our lived ones in Heaven if they got saved by Jesus.

Yes,we could see our love ones in our dreams and thoughts but for me more important is the fact that we can keep them with us for ever in our soul!We can always keep them near us by thinking at them.

i'm not being facetious Deb, yet for a 2d all i ought to think of of your questions have been the subject concerns in Woody Allen's action picture: "Love and loss of life." once I watch it lower back, i'm going to objective to narrate what you ask from what I learn from it. not being humorous. There ought to have been a rationalization why he named the action picture what he did!

No you don't! Once a person dies God does not let him/her go back to earth if you see a loved one's sprit it's bull**** it's the devil making "pranks" on humans like he always has. It's not that person.
