I learnt by simply opening up a microsoft word document, and just typing a made-up random story thats doesnt make sense at all, and dont go back and sort your mistakes out until you are near the end of your story, you'll start to see how your mistakes are grdually drecreasing lol :-D

There are lots of typing cds on the market for the computer if you want to be a touch typist but if you are not worried about being a touch typist then you will pick your speed up with lots of practice. Try using it for all your letters instead of handwritten ones and copying out sections of text from a magazine or a newspaper.

Try Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing programs which are available at your local Staples, Best Buy or Future Shop. Or All-The-Right-Type, they are both very good programs to improve your typing skills.

There are programs and courses that teach you how to type effectively, using all your fingers. Still, you will have to type a lot to become fast.
