At one time or total over period of time?? There is a show on discovery channel about a family who has 16 children, but in the Guiness Book of World Records, there is a woman in S. America that actually had like 30 something. Several multiple births though.

My grandfather is 1 0f 18. There was three sets of twins. The last set of twins were born when she was 47 and they were named "Big" and "Lit" ( for little). I guess they ran out of names. These are the only two surviving of the bunch and they are in there mid 80's. There were 10 boys and 8 girls and there father was a farmer in eastern Ky. Every single one graduated from Berea college in Berea Ky. Of all the children only one had more than two children of their own.

My grandmother was one of 16 and had 15 kids. None of them were twins or anything like that. I think that's the most that i've heard of.
