It will be fine provided the weather is not too severe. Make sure that the local cats can't get to his cage. Hamsters are to cats what cheesecake is to Rosie O'Donald.

It is not reccomended to keep domestic hamsters outside.Howoever,if you simply must do it then make sure you feed and water it regulary and provide adequate shelter. It is not advised to keep hamsters outside in extreme temperatures,a good rule of thumb is not to keep a hamster outside if the temp is over 79 degrees or under50 degrees.

I certainly have had the two rats and hamsters and the rats are with the help of a techniques my prominent. Hamsters are many times propose or maybe the friendly ones purely tolerate you at ideal. Rats are very sensible and friendly. you may coach them tricks and muddle prepare them. i % to propose male rats as pets because of fact they're lazier and cuddlier. women run around plenty extra. All puppy rats are an identical species. Dumbo is purely the place the ears take a seat on the area of the top instead of on ideal of the top. this would not have something to do with character, purely like colour or coat type. It does, besides the fact that, lead them to somewhat lovable. i might get rats from a breeder and not a puppy save. Rats from breeders have extra ideal well being and temperament. they are not plenty extra costly, and you have got a happier, longer lived puppy. Adults are many times $5 and toddlers are many times $25. I propose getting a splash one and an grownup because of fact an grownup will already be mellow and in all possibility muddle knowledgeable.

Not for a huge amount of time. Me and my husband went abroad for new year and i entrusted my neighbour to pop over and check on Harry every so often, and lets just say when we returned from our hols, Harry was gone from his cage. It was also a 5 foot drop which upset me so much as I thought he would of broken his back and crawled off somewhere to die.

It turned out he had been missing a week by the time we had returned home, after an hour of searching he was found alive and happy in the kitchen.

He had obviously lived off crumbs on the floor and had even been in the bathroom and shredded up all our toilet rolls, so they are pretty resourcefull!!! but he was incredibly thirsty and drank from our hands, it upset me so much.

I think a week or so is ok, but once they relise there is no water source in the house for them to drink from i cant imagine they will last very long. I was just lucky. Or rather, Harry was lucky! 3 months on and he is just fine.

no they can not. keep it inside where it is safe from predators. don't even let it out to play you are not as quick as predators. also hamsters cannot survive extreme weather once they were domesticated. wild ones if they are not extinct have natural survival instinct. be sensible about housing your pet hamster

My sister's family let their hamster live in their walls for about three years. It escaped and they couldn't catch it. Their cats left it alone too.
