In my speech class, we are doing demonstrative speeches. I have to show the class how to do something (along with at least 5 visual aids). I can't think of anything except explain to them how to make a few origami things...and I really prefer not to do that. Anyone have any ideas on what I could use as my topic?

Check out http://www.ClassTopic.com They have some great topics that I've used in the past. Each topic has three good sources to get you started on the research, too.

The How-To section is perfect for what you need.

The fun one I've seen done is how to give a speech. Or how to write an essay. And then there is like how to play a sport. There are some fun ones. Just think of something you do daily and that some people might know how to do but that some might not.

I took a bridle of a horse, explained what all the parts were, took it apart, reassembled it, and explained the purpose. That was my demonstrative speech. Try something similar.

You can demonstrate how to make you favorite meal or something,

I think that would be very simple. Your visual aids can be your meal and objects and ingredients you used.

=)hope that helps
