They are starting becoming big in the US. How do you guys feel about them? How popular are they in Britian? Who is the most popular?

The newspapers here love them. It's like a "boozy bird" (is how it has been termed) revolution going on. I like Amy Winehouse personally. She is constantly photgraphed with a mysterious white powder up her nose, and her hair is just crazy (cf. The English band "The Horrors". They are on Myspace). Lily Allen is more of a Spice Girls thing really. Her Dad Keith Allen was involved in the whole Britpop Oasis and Blur thing, but I'm not so interested in her. Her video where she bikes around the East End of London is quite cool though. Joss Stone, on the other hand, is a bit more of a weak character. She is kind of funky, and has a good voice, but lacks the edgyness of Amy Winehouse. Check out Janet Street-Porters articles in The Independent (see below) for a lickle more info.

joss stone was ok until her performance at the brits showed her to have become an idiot. Amy winehouse and lily allen are great, even if they're both out of it half the time, their lyrics are so refreshing, there both popular here in there own ways but lily allen is probably in the media more.

Joss Stone has talent, but lacks wisdom. Amy Winehouse is ugly, and should never open her mouth again. Ever. Lily Allen has an okay voice, but her Cockney accent and arrogance grate heavily. The last two are, in my opinion, deserving of a good clubbing, and I don't mean a night on the town.

Lily Allen - down to earth and normal, how can anyone not like her? Her songs are modern and fun
I reckon Lily Allen is the most popular.

Amy Winehouse is brilliant. Her back to black cd is great you should buy it. Cant stand Joss Stone, and my 9 yr old is a Lily Allen fan, but not me. Amy all the way I love that girl!

my 8yr old daughter likes Lilly Allen's song "Alfie" if that helps
I like "rehab" Amy winehouse and joss stones 1st album was OK then she went for a break and came back this year at the "Britt awards" and made a show of herself,
talking with a weird American accent,
and acting like some "diva" didn't go down to well...........

At any given time, I would choose the above British singers over any other overly made up, dolled up, publicity trained, angelic natured likes of Beyonce, Christina or whoever else is popular now. Believe me, i don't like everything they say or do, but they do have personalities on top of the real talent, and are not media whores, as everybody famous nowadays appears to be.

amy winehouse not too bad...as long as shes singing/performing and NOT talking, lily allen she ok music good too and joss stone, she used to be ok, but god knows wats happened to her strange girl
