Odds are you should stay away from your girlfriend and her son, and even after his loses his fever, you should wait a few days before going around them, even if the fever is from teething. Just explain to your friend that you really think if would be better for you and your baby if you stayed away from her baby until he gets better. The visit to your girlfriend is alot less important than you or your baby's health or even life.

No, you do not want to take that risk. If he was actually sick with a virus or the flu, you could get very sick. A fever can be very dangerous for a pregnant woman, and can put you in the hospital. Better to wait a little while to see if he gets better. Good luck, and congrats!

shouldn't be a big deal. I didn't go to work one day because of Norwalk virus.. I worked several shifts while pregnant. Finally I just didnt' go... but I was fine. If it is a big flu and they are throwing up and such, then I wouldn't. But if the baby only has a fever then I would go. babies immune systems aren't developed yet.. yours is

Please, just stay home, and don't go visit your friend. Yes, it could be due to teething, but it's better to be safe than sorry. There will be times you can visit, when everyone is feeling good. Congrats on your baby! Take care.
