Do you lie about marital status..or what lies are acceptable to you to tell and why? because your playing card game should your answers be part of the game?

Being dishonest is the same whether it is in a relationship or a card game. Your integrity is always at stake and no on likes a cheater of any kind.

Why lie?
When you lie you have to remember - not only what you lied about, in detail - but to whom you told that particular lie... oh, and hope that you never run into that particular person, in the future, if your with a new person - to whom a new lie was told - as this would be more than a sticky situation.
It's just not worth it.
