Okay well I'm 15 years old. I had a cell phone before but I got it taken away. My mom wont get me a cell phone. I would mainly use it for texting and getting in contact with my mom after school and when I'm not home. I dont want her to pay for it buy herself so Im willing to get a job to help with the cost. What kind of plan should I get and how do I convince my mom to get me a phone? My sisters have Verizon phones.

Well, you probably did something to get it taken away, so you need to prove that you're more responsible now than you were then. Don't whine or beg.
Tell her the practical reasons:
1) you are willing to get a job to pay for the cell phone
2) you think it will be nice to be able to keep in touch with her after school and such
3) you promise not to use it while you are driving, because you understand that is dangerous.
4) it is a good idea to have one so if you get in an accident (really common in your first year of driving) you can contact her for help.
Try to write a letter to her, and even if you don't end up sending it, it'll get all your arguments in one place, and it will help you feel prepared for the discussion.
Act mature. Don't blame her or say "all my friends have them" or say "that's so unfair" or say "I hate you, you're the worst mom ever" or anything stupid like that. It won't get you anywhere.
But if all your friends do have them, you can mention it by saying, "a lot of kids my age have cell phones and use them responsibly, and I would too."

Get yourself a phone called a TRAC FONE. They are between 15 and 25 bucks for the phone and you pay for a block of minutes on a pay-as-you-go basis.
You can pay for it with your salary and it provides a really good way to track your expenses for the phone since you have to pay for your minutes in advance. (sort of lets you decide just who is worth spending your money and minutes on for "junk" chats.)

many new providers such as verizon have new plans like trac phones but you still can pick a phone from verizon and you get better service....cost the same as a tracphone

Well the best kind of phones are ATNT you get free minets past seven and texting is also free past seven too. You can buy them prepated or monthly!
