1) Self piecing usually leads to bad placement, and often infection.
2) ... why are you trying to brand yourself as conservative?
3) Sometimes piercing can heal, sometimes not; it depends a bit on your body, and what part of your ear is pierced. So why do a possibly permanent thing but insist it's to meet an urge felt "every once in awhile"?
You're rebellious, you're differentiating yourself from your parents and your past self. I am not saying that's wrong; it's part of the shift from child to adult.
You realize you are just doing this to piss off your parents, right?
::grin:: ok if you didn't get defensive, and thought about each of my statements, maybe you're mature enough and good luck. But it's NOT gonna be hidden, and you know it.

they will notice it no matter what! your parents are going to be extra aware about you having a pierce ear since you have already asked them about it.
the only way to make the piercing less noticible is by using a flesh colored earring, go to one of those pierce and tattoo shops and they sell them.
when you first get a piercing you should not take it off for several weeks, so that means that you can't be taking it off to hide it form your parents (it will be extremely sore and painful, and could get infected)
when I was your age and my parents didnt want me to get a anymore ear piercings I did several by myself, I burnt the needle until the needle turned red, and I washed the needle and my ear with peroxide.
but I wouldn't recommend it for three reasons:
1) you could very well get an infection, especially if you do it yourself and use my method
2) your parent's will notice it, especially if you keep having your mom do your hair
3) earrings do not look good on guys anymore (it might have been cool 20 years ago but not now)

shame on you for disrespecting your moms and dads. and likewise shame on your chum's mom, if she knew your moms and dads place in this concern. while you're taking the posts out now, the holes will close yet you might have a tiny scar that would disappear after some months. After any scabs fall off, save on with a cocoa butter stick because it helps do away with scars. despite you do, please be beneficial to maintain on with the learning that have been given to you with regards to prevention of an infection. Like conserving the ear lobes clean and employing an antibiotic ointment or despite you have been advised.

i think you realize yourself that this is impossible. sit down and explain to them properly, in a controlled manner that you have thought about this for a long time now, and that its something you want done, and it would mean a lot to you to have their blessing. You do not need parental consent to have ears pierced, and if i were them, i would far rather take my child to have it done somewhere reputable, than risk them going somewhere, probably cheap, themselves. Reason with them that you are old enough to have made this decision and hopefully they will respect what you have said, enough, to give their approval. Good luck to you

Honestest is the best policy. Talk to them about what you want. COMPERMINZE! if your over the age of 16 I think it would be OK. Just remember if you do get and ear-ring make sure that its small and you may even want to wear you hair down.

i wouldn't do it because it in inevitable, you'll get caught, and you will have gone through all that pain for nothing (and yes it hurts when you do it yourself) cause they will make you take it out, so if you can't talk them into it, i would wait till your 18 and get pierced and tattood and all that, cause there is nothing they can do then

I'd really like to give you some advice that would help, but if your Mom straightens your hair every day, there is no way to hide it. I think your only option is to wait until you can straighten your hair on your own.

Can't do it without them seeing or knowing. Either do it and deal with them, or don't.
