my 2000 chevy s10 voltage wont stay around the middle of the gage.?

is this problem most likely caused by the alternator or just about anything else in the electrical system

you need to check the alternator,starter,
ignition switch,and all grounds.If you are
loosing voltage at any of these places or
have poor continuity on any grounds thats
your problem.

it sounds like the alternator.
