Rabbits make wonderful pets and they also want and need daily care and attention. Rabbits aren't like dogs and cats and you'll need to find a vet that is "rabbit savvy."
Before you bring home the bunny, I would read some of the links I'm sending about their care so you have the proper set up and have the right food and hay.
Rabbits can be litter box trained and should be spayed or neutered when they get to be about 4-6 months old. Remember too that rabbits are prey animals and most do not like to be picked up and held - ours are very affectionate, but on their terms.

Here are some links that will bring you right to what you need to know for a first time bunny parent:

rabbits make great pets. I have had a mini lop for years. make sure you start with a cage that is large enough to be comfortable. and always have a litter box around, (they can be trained to use one), as time goes on you can allow it more freedom to roam the house. I don't keep mine in a cage anymore, he roams free through the house. I recommend this book to all new bunny owners
