My mini wind turbine was making noise levels above 70db. Consequently i was forced to construct a box to cover the turbine to minimize the noise. Since then i have had no power from the turbine. Can anybody help???

i think you should say " OMG what a smelly noisy turbine " and chuck it in the bin and just get a normal house .. OR maybe u could just replace it with SOLAR panels .. oh wait those get really wet ... hmmmmmmm

You need to get rid of the box and replace the bearings> If there are no bearings then lubricate the shaft turning points where the shaft is making noise. Use either white lithium grease or Teflon spray and Lubricate it every 60 to 90 days.

With the box there is no wind to turbine and it does not turn so no noise or electricity!

Did you boxed the wind blades too? Or did you clamp the shaft in such a way that it won't turn? In order for it to work, the blades has to be free to turn same thing with the shaft to be able to transmits motion to the turbine. Otherwise, check all the wiring connections in case you accidentally disconnect some when you built the box.

If you've covered the entire thing with a box then it's not going to get an awful lot of wind to move it is it? Is it the blades or the generator that makes the racket? If it's the generator then some sound insulating material with the appropriate waterproofing might do the job.

buy an acousto-generator.....it will absorb the noise and turn it directly into electricity......just google on it and you will find lots of suppliers who sell them

Throw it in the bin,

They cause more pollution due to there production, shipping and maintenance.
