Please note I am not against immigrants and refugees, just concerned about national security policy and immigration law.

Dear Stupid with the Nazi comment:

I am half-Jewish!

Also, to the Nazi accuser, I did not suggest discrimination on the basis of anyone's nationality, religion or ethnic group. Bush does that already. I was referring to general background checks for all immigrants, no exceptions. Even Jewish immigrants, fool.

I'm all for it and also beefing up the border patrols with more officers and HIGHER fences. The path to immigration has a legal process which we are allowing to be bypassed.

I LOVE this question...

Here's the thing... we already have laws that require background checks and screening for health issues... Those laws are in place to protect our citizens from criminality and disease. For those who immigrate legally, these requirements are met before they're allowed to move here.

The problem is, those who immigrate illegally are not on any roster... there is no record of their being here... They don't sign up as they cross the border... they sneak across without permission. So who's going to run the background checks? Who's going to run their medical exams? Oh, wait... it's the local law enforcement agencies and probation departments who deal with their ongoing criminality and the local hospitals and free clinics (which are NOT free for taxpayers) who deal with their diseases.

Many of the illegals I work with have extensive criminal histories in Mexico, and are infected with tuberculosis.

If we would simply enforce the laws we already have, much of our crime-related expense, in MANY states, would decrease, and we wouldn't be exposing ourselves to diseases our laws are supposed to protect us from.

those safeguards are already in place. when the immigrants come over-their prints are ran through a data base. the problem-the result is not quick enough. That is why immigrants now have to apply for permits and visas. But- think about it-criminals do not use the proper channels. There is only so much the government can do to prevent a criminals entry.

Most have fake identification. Make that a crime punishable by taking all assets and use that money to ship them home. Hire replacement workers directly from Mexico. Then monitor, tax and watch them. Those who employ Illegals should pay 1,000,000 dollar fines for each one. We have to do something. Our politicians are ignoring our wishes and the problem.

That's surely help us with the Unabomber, Charles Manson, Watson (the Taliban American) and such. Hell, you should have neighbors like those so you can sleep peacefully! And let's make all immigrants wear yellow bands, so you can recognize them easily.
It is not the ethnic group that makes killers, it's personality types. Ideas like your are not new, they're called Nazism.

They should all be very nicely turned around and sent back where they came from. Sorry, but screw. If they try to get back in they should be drowned and let to float out to sea where ever they came from. Immigrints. Let spain take care of them. After all it was their people who invaded all these islands and did nothing but repopulate with the crap we see today. Ship them off to spain and let them take of their offspring.

We have these laws in place , all we need to do is enforce them. we should have been doing this all along and we wouldn't have the problems we are faced with today.
