Don't ask how I let it happen; it's one of those "never turn your back even for a minute" things. Some how my 2 year old got the triple antibotic ointment and painted the cell phone with it. I cleaned it off best I could but now when I try to call the person on the other end can't hear me! Is there anything I can do to fix it? or just buy a new one?

try going to someone who can take it apart and clean it...it's just something stuck around the microphone...but it could be a wire or something...to tell you the truth...i don't know...

You probably have gunk still in the microphone hole. You could try a vaccum maybe? If you blow into the hole, you'll just displace the ointment into other areas and maybe cause more damage.

Best bet though, get it serviced by your carrier (if you have accidental damage protection warranty) or get a new phone. It will be the best solution in the long run.

it sounds as if it shorted out your speaker and you may just be able to have it fixed, however, it would probably be cheaper to get a new phone.
