First, everything is 90% empty space. However, the interstice are so small normal sight would not work in trying to look through those interstices. Every once in a while people pop up with tales of seeing people beyond their walls and some figure out it is people in other apartments or houses.
This sight is not under any control and has never successfully been tested.
There are stories that some of the telepathy tests with high scores were actually this kind of vision.

I'm not sure that anyone can truly have an answer to your question. Ghosts are something that many people claim to have seen but I really haven't ever heard of a satisfactory and totally believable explanation.
Let me just say that if you saw them, perhaps they were there and as long as they weren't a threat to you and aren't bothering your daily life or psyche then I don't feel you have anything to worry about.
You will probably get a lot of answers which suggest that there is something wrong with you ... don't take those answers to heart .... some people would rather make light of a another human being than to accept the possibility that there are things in this world that have always been, are now and may forever be unexplained.
Enjoy the fact that you have experienced something that not everyone has. I hope you live a life of peace and ignore any ignorant or insulting comments.

How old is the house you're living in? When a ghost haunts a location, and the floor plans suddenly change, the ghost will still haunt the place as though nothing was altered. This means that if the wall did not exist when these ghosts were still alive, they will continue to sit in their ghostly armchairs as though the wall was never put up. Your bedroom, originally, could have been part of a larger room.

You can see through walls?! And those must be special armchairs.
I will not dismiss the possibility of the supernatural, but I believe much more strongly about how people will say anything to get some attention.

I feel this was probably residual - what you were seeing was a moment in time being replayed, a kind of time slip rather than two ghosts. You just happened to be there at the right time to see it.

The walls were not there for the ghosts, and you only saw them because they wanted you too, or maybe to many bonghits.
