think of a few things in advance you can say to people to strike up a conversation, perhaps something newsworthy that is going on in your area or something off TV.

it is hard to break the ice with people you don't know but smile, keep your head up and DON'T ever think that ppl are thinking bad things about you, because they won't be... instead try and join in with their topic of conversation!

good luck xx

Just relax! People are naturally drawn to others who seem confidant and happy. So if you talk to everyone at the party and just pretend that they are already your friend, then people will see you as open and nice. Don't put them way up on this pedestal thinking they are soo cool and perfect and so much better than you. Because they aren't.

And remember, we often think people are judging us, but the truth is they are too busy thinking about themselves and what YOU are thinking about them!

Good Luck

I'm just like you!
My first pary was all nervous but the more often you go, the more familiar you get with everything and you get more comfortable.
Just talk to guys normally. Don't go alone, bring a friend to go talk to a couple of guys. You'll soon get more confident - especially around guys.
Up to 6th grade i couldn't speak to a guy!

Just be yourself! You have to like yourself, that's an important start to having self confidence. Next you need to have positive self talk, tell yourself how amazing you are. Say "I am a very confident person" over and over again and eventually your self conscious will believe you - it will! When you meet new people ask them questions about themselves, show interest in what they tell you. Remember, no one is better than you. You are all equal. Believe this. Believe in yourself!

You should enjoy your life without caring about other people's opinions about you... if you do so, everyone will like you automatically! ;)
