I went on The Sims Resource.com and downloaded tons of stuff for The Sims 1. And now they aren't showing up on my game. How do I get them to show up?

You have to save the files in the Sims' installation directory.
That normally is: C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims

Navigate to the folder above and continue below for the location to copy the files.

FILE LOCATIONS:

* Skin (.bmp) Files go in the Gamedata/Skins folder. (Double-Click on Gamedata from your Sims Folder then double-click on the Skins Folder)
* Wall (.wll) Files go in the Gamedata/Walls folder. (Double-Click on Gamedata from your Sims Folder then double-click on the Walls Folder)
* Floor (.flr) Files go in the Gamedata/Floors folder. (Double-Click on Gamedata from your Sims Folder then double-click on the Floors Folder)
* House (.iff) Files go in the Userdata/Houses folder. (Double-Click on Userdata from your Sims Folder then double-click on the Houses Folder)
* Roof (.bmp) Files go in the Gamedata/Roofs folder. (Double-Click on Gamedata from your Sims Folder then double-click on the Roofs Folder)
* Object (.iff) Files go in the Downloads/Transmogrified folder.
Note:If you do not yet have a Downloads/Transmogrified folder in your Sims folders you will need to make one. (If you do, Double-Click on Downloads from your Sims Folder then double-click on the Transmogrified Folder)
* After selecting the folder according to file-type, click "Ok" and you're done!
