Out in the theaters now, I'd recommend "300" and "Wild Hogs." I see a lot of movies, generally one a week, and they're the best of 2007's so far.
In "300," you see gorgeous sets, costumes, BODIES (oh, man, those guys are buff and gorgeous!) plus it's a story about honor and duty and loyalty... just great. A feast for the eyes.
"Wild Hogs" on the other had was funny without being vulgar.
"Music and Lyrics" was pretty good, too, if you want a fluffy romantic comedy.

There really haven't been very many good movies come out recently. All the blockbusters are supposed to come out this summer. But, "Little Miss Sunshine" was a good movie if you like comedy/drama films. Also, I heard good things about "The Departed" (but it's supposed to be pretty violent) and "The Prestige."
Classics (or your favorites) are always the best.

The Holiday!! Laughed out loud while watching it alone.
Plot Outline: Amanda of Los Angeles and Iris of England have never met, but both need a vacation from their problems with men. When the two sign up for a home exchange and swap houses for two weeks, their intentions are to escape the opposite sex. But when Amanda starts a romance with Iris' older brother and Iris falls for an American movie composer, both their lives change forever.
DVD Release: 3/13/2007
Rated: PG-13
Directed by:
Nancy Meyers
Starring:
Cameron Diaz
Kate Winslet
Jude Law
Jack Black
One of my favorite parts is when she (Cameron) is in the checkout line at the grocery store chugging a bottle of wine....when she is walking in HEELS pulling her suit case thru the snow and nearly falls!!
A hoot and a hollar!
Enjoy!!

The Departed. Yes, is is intense and it is violent. The characters are riveting and the movie itself is just one huge successful story told by a masterful storyteller (writer William Monahan and director Martin Scorcese), acted by the best (Matt Damon, Leonardo Di Caprio, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg and Martin Sheen.)
