I have mild depression and take Paxil CR for it. But my depression has been getting worse the longer I hang out with some of my friends. Is it possible for their depressive moods to add to my depression?

Yes for sure. I find myself getting real down when I talk to someone who is depressed. You need to break out of your circle a little. Not dump your friends just explore new avenues.

It's not contagious in the medical sense (if I cough on you, you get the depression germ) but your environment really can affect your mood -- sometimes in a way medication won't help! (If the cause isn't a chemical imbalance, drugs that work by balancing the chemicals won't help.) Try to cheer your friends up. It sounds like they need it. Plus, helping others is one of the best cures for non-chemical depression, after all.

While I wouldn't consider depression "contagious," other peoples moods most certainly can affect yours. Try doing something that you all enjoy, get outside in the sun, get some exercise... use activities that make you feel "better" to drive their mood change!

If they're unhappy and depressive, they certainly won't cheer you up! Maybe try to get some new more happy/funny friends?
