So my friend told me about this site called Torrents or something where you can download music and videos for free and its legal. Anyone know how you go about doing this? Has anyone ever gotten a virus or anything from this like you do from limewire?

you go to a torrent site and download a torrent client, such as utorrent or bittorrent (no, they are all the same) and then you download the torrent file from the website. You place it into the torrent client select where you want to save the file. If the client does not allow you to save it in a specific area, then it usually downloads into the My Downloads Folder or on My Desktop
The number of seeders depends how fast your downloadspeed will be, i do not suggest downloading anything unless it has atlast 2 seeders... oh god the laggg

I download torrents with this program called Azureus, but there are other out there. Anyway, the likelihood of getting viruses would depend on which site you download your torrents from. My friends have downloaded files that were a couple of gigs and it ended up being pretty much an empty file, so be careful.
