Is this a new problem? In some cases, it's "busy brain"...anxiety, or even a newly aquired sleep disorder. The best way to figure it out..is "expect" to sleep. Set up the situation though, and yes take a bath inspite of what you've read. Completely relax, read..watch tv, nothing too exciting, and let yourself doze off. If all fails, try a sleep aid...if that fails, see your Dr. for a prescription, and perhaps some blood tests if there's no anxiety related to your lack of sleep.

try this,more exercise to release stress, and your muscles.drink a lot of water before sleep...meditate...and before you go to sleep inhale squeeze muscles of your hands and legs and then exhale
