I suggest going to the pool with some friends for an entire day or to the beach (perferably when there is a lot of sun) and just put on some sun screen to prevent a burn, and lay chatting or doing something so the time passes. I usually just play beach volleyball and get a beautiful tan without thinking about it. Good Luck!

You say you have fair skin? My first advice would be to be proud of your skin tone. There's no need to risk skin cancer for a tan. A tan is really just a way to feel better about yourself, which hints at insecurity. You should embrace your fair skin and don't be ashamed of it. But if you still insist on getting a tan, here is some tanning advice. Lay outside with your chair facing the sun, but make sure to wear at least a mild sun block. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT use the tanning accelator lotions, those are dangerous, as they greatly increase the rays that hit your skin, which in turn increases your chances of skin cancer. Lay out in moderation, no longer than an hour at a time for no more than two hours a day. Good luck.

Use a dark tanning arisol spray. The spray is really the best method (way better than any oil or lotion!) because it helps you tan EVENLY and won't leave any streaks. Plus, you won't have orange hands. You just spray it on and lay out in the sun...no need to rub! :-) I suggest SPF4. I am fair-skinned and have never burned when using SPF4. Just don't stay out for more than about an hour at a time.

Also, if you're going to lay out in the sun, keep lots of water by your side to drink and splash on yourself. The beads of water on your body will help cool you down and will even enhance your tan!

There are special kind of tanning lotions that help you tan better or faster so go to a salon or some place that has tanning and ask them

its not safe to tan in the sun but make sure you use sun tan lotion that is made to let you get a tan but still protect it wll say that on the bottle i would still just reccomend using lotion that makes you tan gradually just wash your palms real good after and you wont turn orange

Avoid the sun unless you want age spots, wrinkles, and even skin cancer. Fair skinned people are most likely to get skin cancer.

Ok take a lawn chair and put on a bathing sute. Lay in your yard or somewhere outside. Also remember to lather with sunscreen every 10-15 minutes.

Sweetie, tanning will have you looking like a crocodile purse by the time you're forty. Go the fake route, or learn to embrace your paleness...

Cover yourself in a thin layer of mayonaise and lay out in your backyard. I know it sounds freaky but it really works!
